Credit Requirements
Each semester, a class is worth .5 credit. For example, English is worth .5 semester 1 and .5 semester 2, for a total of 1 credit for the school year. Each school year, you can earn up to 7 credits for the year. If you fail a REQUIRED course, you will need to retake it.
In order to graduate high school, students must earn 23 credits, including:
English - 4 credits (4 years)
Math - 4 credits (4 years)
Science - 3 credits (3 years)
Social Studies - 3 credits (3 years)
Foreign Language - 2 credits (2 years)
Art - 1 credit (Intro to Art and Art History)
Physical Education - .5 credit
Health - .5 credit
Computer - 1 credit
Electives - 4 credits
